Website Terms

Clear, family-friendly terms for using launchpadkids.nz and related Launchpad forms, booking and payment pages.

We want using Launchpad online to feel welcoming, clear, safe and fair. These terms explain the important parts in everyday words. Please contact us if anything is unclear.

1 — About these terms

These terms apply to launchpadkids.nz and related Launchpad registration, waitlist, booking, form and payment pages, together called the Website. The Website is operated by Launchpad Child Development Centre Limited, NZBN 9429053690197, trading as Launchpad Child Development Centre, at 22 Wear Street, Oamaru, New Zealand.

By using the Website, you agree to use it in accordance with these terms. Where active acceptance is needed, Launchpad will present a separate, unticked acknowledgement. If you become a client, the signed Family Registration, Consent and Service Pack, the specific service offer or schedule, and the terms shown before payment also apply. A specific signed service term takes priority over a general Website term for that service.

2 — General information and urgent concerns

Website information is general. It does not replace an individual assessment, diagnosis, medical advice or emergency care, and it does not guarantee that a particular service is appropriate for a child.

Urgent help
Launchpad’s website, forms and email are not monitored as emergency services. Call 111 for immediate danger or urgent medical help. Seek prompt medical advice for acute choking, breathing difficulty, dehydration, suspected aspiration or sudden deterioration.

3 — Enquiries, registration and confirmation

Sending an enquiry or registration is a warm first hello. It asks Launchpad to contact you, review what your family is looking for and help identify a possible next step. It does not guarantee or reserve a programme place, appointment, waitlist position or client relationship.

A place or appointment is confirmed only when Launchpad has sent a clear written confirmation after the applicable service offer, consent, acceptance and payment steps are complete. For a service with approved automatic instalments, confirmation may follow receipt of the agreed first payment and payment authorisation.

The person submitting information must be authorised to do so and provide information that is accurate to the best of their knowledge. Please tell Launchpad promptly if important contact, authority, health, safety or service information changes.

4 — Service suitability and availability

Launchpad reviews each request thoughtfully, taking account of the child’s strengths, communication or learning stage, goals, participation needs, safety, group fit, service scope and availability. Published age ranges are guides rather than the only placement criterion.

Launchpad may suggest a different programme, a screening or assessment, an individual service, another provider or a waitlist where that is more appropriate. We cannot promise a diagnosis, particular outcome, rate of progress, funding, school support, placement or timeframe.

5 — Services, fees, GST and payment

Before you pay, Launchpad will clearly show the service or programme, dates, location, session length, what is included, the base rate plus GST, the final total including GST, payment timing, any agreed travel or additional cost, and the cancellation or withdrawal terms that apply.

To make confirmation clear for everyone, Launchpad requires the applicable payment before a place or appointment is confirmed. Term programmes may offer an approved instalment option. An instalment plan divides the agreed programme fee into smaller payments; enrolment still covers the complete programme and is not a purchase of separate weekly sessions.

Payments must be completed through the approved hosted payment page or another method agreed by Launchpad. Do not enter card numbers or security codes into general Launchpad text fields or email.

If automatic payments are selected, the payer must complete the payment provider’s separate authorisation and keep the nominated payment method current.

Launchpad may update fees for future bookings or enrolments. A future fee change will be shown before a new purchase and will not change a completed prepaid booking without agreement, unless the law requires otherwise.

6 — Attendance, cancellations and programme changes

The complete cancellation and withdrawal terms are provided before payment and in the Family Registration, Consent and Service Pack. The applicable signed terms form part of the service agreement.

  • Individual appointments: the current notice-based cancellation schedule is shown before payment. Launchpad considers genuine sudden illness, emergencies, exceptional events and serious hardship as described in the family pack.

  • Term programmes: enrolment covers the complete programme and holds the child’s place throughout the term. The overall fee normally remains the same when a family misses a session. Where practical, Launchpad will share the week’s handout, home activity or short learning summary.

  • Holiday programmes: enrolment covers and holds the child’s place across the complete five- session programme. A participant’s missed session is not refundable, transferable or moved to another date.

  • If Launchpad cancels: Launchpad will offer the fair remedy that applies, such as a reasonable reschedule or make-up, credit, transfer or refund for the service it cannot provide.

Any amount retained following withdrawal will be reviewed fairly against the applicable signed terms, replacement income and costs avoided. Nothing in these terms removes a remedy required by law.

7 — Privacy, records and messages

The Privacy and Records Policy explains how Launchpad collects, uses, stores, shares, protects and retains information. Launchpad may send service messages needed to respond to an enquiry, manage a booking or waitlist, provide a service, issue an invoice or receipt, or meet a safety or legal responsibility.

Marketing messages require separate consent or another lawful basis and include a way to unsubscribe. Withdrawing marketing consent will not affect services.

8 — Safe and fair Website use

Please do not misuse the Website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security or availability, upload malicious or unlawful material, impersonate another person, submit information without authority, use another person’s details improperly, or enter payment-card information into ordinary text fields.

Launchpad may block a submission or reasonably restrict access where needed to protect children, families, staff, information, systems or legal rights.

9 — Website content and intellectual property

Unless stated otherwise, Launchpad owns or licenses the Website text, graphics, downloads, resources, programme materials and branding. Stock photos are used for illustrative purposes only. The individuals depicted are models. Families may view them and keep a reasonable copy for personal, non-commercial use. They may not be sold, republished, altered, scraped, presented as someone else’s work or used to train a system without written permission or another lawful right.

10 — Photos and Imagery

Some photos used throughout this website are stock images featuring models, and are included for illustrative purposes only. Unless otherwise stated, these images do not depict actual clients, families, or children of Launchpad Child Development Centre. Any resemblance to real individuals is coincidental.

11 — Links and third-party services

Links to third-party websites or services are provided for convenience and do not necessarily mean Launchpad endorses all of their content. A third party’s own terms and privacy policy apply when you use its service. Launchpad is not responsible for content or changes outside its reasonable control, but this does not remove any responsibility Launchpad has under New Zealand law.

12 — Website availability and accuracy

Launchpad takes reasonable care to keep the Website clear, accurate and available. Information may be updated, corrected or temporarily unavailable. Please contact Launchpad if you notice an error, have not received an expected confirmation or are unsure whether a booking has been completed.

13 — Consumer rights and responsibility

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, Privacy Act 2020 and the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers’ Rights.

Subject to those rights, neither Launchpad nor the user is responsible for a delay caused by an event beyond reasonable control, but each will take reasonable steps to reduce avoidable loss. Launchpad will provide the remedy required for any paid service it does not provide or does not provide to the standard required by law.

14 — Changes, contact and New Zealand law

The current version and effective date appear on this page. A material change affecting an existing paid service will be handled under the signed family pack and applicable law.

For Website or transaction questions, email admin@launchpadkids.nz or write to Launchpad Child Development Centre, 22 Wear Street, Oamaru, New Zealand. New Zealand law applies and New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
